I found this good video about good features of range hoods to look for. There are so many to choose from in terms of style, design, function and features that it can often be quite confusing. This video has some good example of designs and also the features to look for. Although they are a safety feature it is important to not cut back on the look of the hood as it can affect the overall appearance of the kitchen quite dramatically.
